I made this skirt to match a top but the sizes didn\'t work out perfect together. If your small it might work check the sizes. The skirt is made out of cotton with a white ruffle. This is such a fabulous skirt ~ The front panel is made of a wonderful mixture of so many different green fabrics sewn together in a random spiral patchwork pattern. The back panel is made of a forest green floral print fabric. On the bottom of the back panel I stitched an applique of a little leafy tree. The drawstring ties in the back and it has little green ceramic beads at each end.

This is such a beautiful wrap skirt! I used a pastel green foliage print fabric and a beige leaf print fabric with little pastel pink, green and blue dots for the log cabin and Seminole patchwork on this skirt, I also added a sweet little pouch pocket on the waistband that is made of on of the log cabin squares. The waistband and the ties are made of a hand dyed hemp/cotton blend and at the end of each of the ties there are two little beads ~ one wood and one ceramic.

This skirt rocks! I started making it a little over a year ago as a dress, and then set it aside until just now. After a few major modifications and a pile of new time, I managed to put together this beautiful skirt. I used large squares of random patchwork in blue cotton fabrics alternating with a dark cobalt blue fabric with a black floral print. The waistband and the ruffle at the bottom are made of a cream fabric with little tiny flowers in orange, blue and green flowers on it.

This wonderful wrap skirt is perfect for spring! I made it from five different purple corduroy fabrics in varying wales and textures. Near the top I added a little mulberry colored fine wale corduroy pocket with a little button closure. This pocket is the perfect size for a phone or a set of keys. Near the bottom I stitched an applique of a large five petal flower in lightweight purple cottons and a little bit of corduroy. This skirt wraps around and it's pretty big, so I can fit a bunch of different sizes.

This is a skirt pattern that I haven't ever done before. I used a giant piece of yellow random patchwork in all different shades and prints for a top layer. There is also a layer below that to give it some volume for dancing made from a piece of golden yellow striped fabric. This is another new skirt pattern for me this week. It starts pretty narrow t the waistband (check measurements) and then curves into a huge bell at the bottom. I used three panels of random patchwork in all sorts of blue fabrics and three panels of a clear blue sky blue fabric with little white flowers printed all over it. I love this fabric because it really reminds me of the comfort of an antique quilt. This skirt has a drawstring waist that can be tied in the front or in the back and I can hem it for the buyer.

This skirt turned out really pretty! There are alternating patches in tho different fabrics. One is a black, gray and white floral print with little accents in gold for the flowers and leaves. I am so pleased with this skirt! I made it out of a wonderful hemp fabric that Liz from namastepatchworkcreations.com dyed a soft brown for me. Around the bottom I added a border of some random patchwork in earthy browns and creams. I also added a pocket on the left front that has that same style patchwork on the outside and is lined with the hemp on the inside. In the center of the front of the skirt I Stitched a HUGE applique of a garden of mushrooms inside a circle. (if you ask me, the three little mushrooms in the middle look pretty dangerous to me!) This skirt has a drawstring that ties in the back and the waistband lays flat on the front. This skirt is finished and I will not alter it.

I think it's the color combinations that make these simple little skirts so fantastic. I used a fabric printed with foliage in a bunch of rich, dark colors for the main fabric. I also made a stripe of patchwork around the border of the skirt out of three light colored cottons. I bordered that with a deep mulberry medium wale corduroy that pulls the whole piece together. The waistband is also made of that corduroy.

I have had this beautiful eggplant colored fabric in my stash for a long time ~ and I'm not really sure where it came from, but it is just perfect in this skirt. On two of the panels I stitched a whole bunch of colorful and textured six petaled flowers. Around the border of the dress I added a strip of very colorful random patchwork. On one of those patches there is a little butterfly that I free stitched with the sewing machine that turned out very cute, but still subtle. This skirt is very warm and will be great for the winter.
